| Me, looking angelic |
When Mr. Ruhter first mentioned that I would be a devil and an angel in front of the entire C Side group, I said, "No way!" You see, I'm not the kind of guy who likes to get up on stage and be silly, but you know Mr. Ruhter and how persuasive he can be.
So a couple of weeks ago, we put on a skit for all of our students about how we all tend to get off track sometimes. Mr. Ruhter pretended to be a student, and I played his conscience as both a devil and an angel. The point was that when we make choices, sometimes we forget what is really important and what needs to get done first. Instead of getting our homework done first, for example, we may chat with friends online which can really get us in a pickle.
To be honest, I don't know which was more fun to play, the devil or the angel, but I do know this: setting priorities and make good choices really matters when it comes to balancing a demanding workload and after school activities.
I'm wondering if we left any tips out when presenting this topic. What do you think? What works for you?
I agree with you! As the audience, the devil and the angel were both hilarious. The play was both fun and educational at the same time. I learned something about procrastinating and how I should do my homework first. This made me think of how I balance my homework, free time and family time. I list the stuff I have to do and then I rate it from A to C. I do all my A stuff first. This is actually a really good way to balance my time because I know what I have to finish today!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great technique, Se Young. I hadn't thought of prioritizing tasks with letters. I bet a lot of other students would find that useful. Thanks for sharing!
DeleteI completely agree with you. Technology can be both good and bad. It can be good because, it helps connect a whole family. It can be bad because, the world is connected to the computer a little too much.
ReplyDeleteI think you did well as an angel and a devil. You actually didn't act like you didn't want to be one. Also I think you taught us well about what was bad and what was good. Also, you gave a brief summary for us to read. It helps us understand what you did. Also I agree with how you prioritized the homework of the student (Mr Ruhter).
ReplyDeleteI agree with that you need to set a priority and get the most important. It was also very descriptive in a way that gets the readers attention.
ReplyDeleteI like how you posted a video to support your idea. It also made the post more interesting and fun to read.
ReplyDeleteYour wondering is right. You left a lot of tips for us to follow.I learned to put what I need to do first and then lead up to other stuff like games.
ReplyDeleteI agree because It can be good and bad. It's good because it can help you family by seeing the news ect.It can be bad because you will get a habit and you not go outside, and you don't spend time with your family.
ReplyDeleteI dont follow what you're saying about people getting off-track. I never get off-track. I used to but not anymore. The reason being is that I get my work done in class but sometimes technology tends to turn around. Especially this week, I had almost no HW! Unlike other people I see in class,, they like talking and they get more HW. Even though I have homework, I do the shortest stuff first so that I get to the long stuff, like a project, quickly. Otherwise it'll take you more time for HW. I finish my homework within an hour. I prioritize in my head from shortest to longest.
