Shhhh...it's a secret!

I have to admit a secret.  I've been keeping it from you for a couple of weeks now.  Promise you won't hate me.  The truth is I have another blog.

It's not that I think this one is a complete failure or that you're not good enough to read the other blog.  In fact I hope you do.  The thing is that my other blog is about a dream of mine that I'm trying to make happen.

As many of you know, I love books.  In fact, Mrs. Riley would probably say I love them too much.  I'm always carrying them around and trying to find new ones.  Well my real dream is to actually write one, and I came across a story that I think is simply irresistible.  It's about an American who lived in Thailand for many years until he mysteriously disappeared in 1967.

Who was this mysterious man?  Well, you can read all about him on my new blog, Tracking Down an American Legend.  You can also get an inside peek into my research process.  Be sure to leave some words of encouragement as I know it will be a long and complicated process.  And remember, you know how good it feels to get positive feedback from other writers.

  1. I think it would be great if you wrote a book! I think it would be interesting to have a teacher write a book! Also your choice of choosing about an american mysterious man is actually something I would go read. Just hearing the word mysterious is pretty eye-catching.

    1. Dear Mr. Riley,

I wish you luck in writing this book, and I look forward to reading the development. I have been fascinated by the life and disappearance of Jim Thompson since the first time I visited his house in Bangkok last year. His story is a compelling mystery, and I am sure you will write an amazing story about it. I know that you love books and that you want to create the same passion in other people too.

  2. I love how you really speak to the reader and use words like "you" and "you're." I also like how you get straight to the point by saying "I have a secret" Good luck with your book

  3. I disagree that having to blogs is bad. You can spread more ideas that way.
